The course offers a combination of subjects with a view to provide a general understanding and foundation in Humanities and its applications. Students here have a distinct advantage of being taught by some of the best minds of the various humanities departments. This course prepares them to pursue a subject of their interest at the Masters level and also helps explore a variety of career options.

* Choose two Discipline Courses Strictly according to the permissible combinations listed below.

** Choose two languages or one language and philosophy in lieu of the second language from the language listed below. The college offers Hindi paper II in part II and English paper II in part III of the programme.

*** Choose one application Course from the list provided below.

Permissible Combination of Discipline Courses:

  • Category 1: Economics – IRPM
  • Category 2: Economics – History, Economics – Philosophy
  • Category 3: History – Philosophy, History – Sanskrit

Language Course:
English A and B*, Hindi A, B* and C**
* For those students who have studied English/Hindi up to the tenth standard only.
** For those students who have studied English/Hindi up to the eighth standard only.

Students who have not studied English/Hindi up to eighth standard in their school shall opt for philosophy in lieu of it.

Foundation Course: Language, Literature and Culture (Taught in both English and Hindi Mediums).

Application Courses: Creative Writing, Mass Communication, Indian Art, Entrepreneurship and Small Businesses, Computer Application, Physical Education.
